Aluminum or PVC bifolds?

Hi all,

We are currently having an extension which will turn our kitchen into a kitchen diner, plus add a utility room, office and bedroom upstairs. As you can imagine, it's pretty costly, so we're looking to keep costs down, but equally don't want to scrimp where it's sensible to spend.

The price differential is quite significant between pvc and aluminum. What do you have, and how have you found it? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

We have aluminium and they are lovely. I've heard that upvc bifolds can warp and be difficult to open and close - bug think this may be more of a problem if facing south/west than if facing north/east.

Just had grey alyminium bifolds fitted, really pleased with them! Tbh I wouldn't even consider upvc as they can wrap and discolour too easily. If you do your research you should find relatively comparable prices
