We are building an internal brick wall in our new extension. I would like it to look like it has been there for some time.....Has anyone done this? Any tips on the type of brick/mortar/ method of doing it would be gratefully received.

We built a fireplace of reclaimed bricks which the bricklayer had to bring from an old school demolition! You could ask if thats something they do But if not (and its a faff) have a look at slimbrick.co.uk I think they are great and just go up like tiles My builders have found them easy

Use reclaimed bricks

Reclaimed bricks
Lime mortar (if in keeping with the rest of the house)
