Does anyone have a bath within their shower space?

We've just bought a house with a tiny bathroom. DH would love a bath and I really like showers (but not over the bath). We're going to try the idea of a bath within the shower area...has anyone here tried it?

Thanks

I don't get it and the photo doesn't help?

It's a small bathroom, the toilet and basin are at one end. Then the rest is like a wet room. But behind the shower screen is not just a shower, but a bath also. The photo is showing the half of the room that is the wet room.

Looks like a total pita to clean

so you want a wet room with a bath in it? You'd have to ask a plumber but I see no problem in theory but without dimensions its hard to say.
Where will the toilet and sink go?
Will you need an extra short bath (which to me defeats the object of a bath but if the bathroom is that small might be necessary).

We have a very small bathroom and the bath is standard length. but we lost a bit of the ends as they are sunk into the wall. It is extra wide though and there is a power shower over it. There's no way a wet room would work without soaking everything else ( the toilet/sink/mirror/towels/shelves) every time the shower was used (and no space for a radiator either)

That's what I thought - soap scum and hair and dust accumulating round the base of the bath. I would go for easy cleaning, every time.

I wouldn't it will be constantly needing cleaned and won't look good unless it is a very large room! The picture you have there looks like a shower room waiting for the bath to be taken away.

Is that picture to scale? If it is, then it looks like there would be plenty of room for a bath and a separate shower. If its not to scale and your bathroom really is tiny, then the shower space would be cramped anyway so just get one over the bath.

in the set up you describe, the bath would need wiping down every time you had a shower! couldn't be arsed with that!
