Mosaic tiles behind range cooker

I really like the look of having a mosaic sheet directly behind the range cooker, going up to the extractor hood, as a feature. It will be tiles everywhere else. But is this practical? Will it be difficult to clean?

It'll be a huge, massive pita and you will regret it every time you look at it.

Sorry.

Do you mean from the cleaning point of view? Have you had similar and regretted it then?

Please do not do this Smile. More grout = more cleaning. It will probably look fabulous for about 3 months.
Not quite the same but in our last house I had mosaic tiles in a shower which didn't actually get used all that often but still ended up ripping them out and replacing.
You can get all sorts of designed on glass - could you find something which would give you a similar effect?

This isn't mosaic but these people seem to be able to put a digital picture of anything you want onto glass. I haven't used them but just to give an idea.

Good luck.

Definitely a mistake to have mosaic tiles behind a cooker. You can get single glass sheets or large format tiles which are much better.

yep, nightmare!

Okay I hear you!

Agnes: Thanks for the link, that website definitely looks interesting!
