Can anyone recommend some makes? Have just ordered some samples for my kitchen, they are Pergo, Kronospan and Quickstep. Is anyone able to tell me if they are good makes or not? Does anyone have them in their kitchen?

I have quickstep oak flooring which has lasted 9 years in our kitchen and still looks good. I would definitely recommend it.

We've just bought Quickstep too, went for the waterproof one for extra reassurance.
We've had cheapy stuff in our old bathroom (first house, no money!) and it held up very well considering it was the early stuff

Does anyone know if the only waterproof range is Ultra Impressive? I like another type (Perspective) but it is not clear if it is waterproof enough for hallway/living/dining space.

I am pretty sure mine wasn't waterproof but has been fine

Thanks Skyland, gives me hope. Was also keen on Pergo, but reviews on internet are really bad.

Thanks everyone. Also what is the difference between laminate and vinyl flooring?
