Has anyone ever painted the outside of their own home?? How did you reach the highest point?? would you have scaffolding (I'm guessing this is the answer) , also was it worth the saving or should we be big and dig deep into our pockets to get the professionals in??

I'm borrowing a moveable scaffolding tower. Otherwise big ladder and a friend to foot it for you. I wouldn't do it if you are scared of heights or not used to working up ladders.

My dh hires a moveable scaffold tower but it is a fiddle to erect. He has also tied a brush to some extendable poles which has also worked. He paints each side every year or so.

A cherry picker is also a good solution though a bit more expensive if you can fit it
around the house.

It is doable, even if you're just a DIYer. The key is preparation, preparation, preparation Grin. Oh, and scaffolding will probably save your life.
