Extending to the side

I've posted before about looking at buying a traditional double fronted property - this is still very much an option.

This style house is pretty typical to the area where I live and a few have extended to the side - double extension, set slightly back so it's not completely flush with the frontage. I'd love to know how they layout is for them. Are these kind of plans (floor plans) available on line? I literally have visions of my knocking on doors to ask! getting desperate

Check out your local councils planning department you can view plans from years ago. I have been stalking my neighbours plans as they have a rear extension that we want to replicate copy Wink

Another option is to look on Rightmove, Zoopla etc at floor plans of similar houses that are for sale (or also sold in the case of Zoopla) in the area and that have already done the work. You get the added bonus of the photos too. I have found that quite useful when planning our extension.
