Anyone refitted a bathroom themselves?

I think I can do this. I'm pretty good at diy, can tile etc but never tackled a whole bathroom. We have a 20 year old master bathroom in our house in Texas. Think beige square faux limestone tiles, oval inset basins, gold hardware, crystal taps (I could go on...). I need to retile floor, replace shower cubicle and tray (and walls inside cubicle, currently dark beige plastic sheet, may tile this), replace bath (oval and built in), replace basins, taps and vanity surfaces and towel rails and repaint. I think the tough part will be the bath (current one has jets) but not changing any plumbing etc. Any tips or links to good youtube sites?

Thinking pared back, white sanitaryware, white paint on vanity units, grey walls, oversized white tiles, brushed nickel metal and accessory inspiration courtesy of pinterest....

Have you got another bathroom to yes whilst your working? Plumbing not easy, it's all, about having the right kit, the tools and fittings. Buying them is expensive.

We've done it, and decided never again, as we had to make do more than we wanted.

I'd get a plumber in got the bath and shower and do the rest yourself.

I've just had a nice new bath supplied and installed and toilet (sink was fine) and it was £620.00 total, and done within two days.

Thanks, I've been looking round and think I will have to get a plumber in for the bath (it will be centre drain but is currently left hand drain). Don't need to replace the toilet. I've had a good measure and nothing seems to be standard size at the moment, this could be interesting....
