Moving day tomorrow

We are surrounded with packing cases and the house seems very strange. It is the calm before the storm!

Good luck! Make sure you know where the tea/coffee/milk/kettle are and a t spoon especially the spoon !

The same for me though our packers took our boxes away. I am close to panicking whether I am making the right decision to move!

Now moved in and only a few boxes to empty from our first delivery. A second lorry full arrives on Tuesday. The house hasn't been lived in for a year do there is lots to be done. Great feeling of relief and elation that it all went through smoothly. Found the corkscrew and our favourite wine today, so am pretty mellow now!

It's such a relief when you're actually in, even if there's loads to do, as you know there is no pressure to get it all done. Cheers

Congrats! We were in a similar position the week before Christmas - had to wait a couple of days for our second delivery too - but ours hadn't been lived in for around two years.....

Three and a half months on and we're gradually getting sorted - new kitchen was delivered on Monday, yay! - but there's still lots to do, not least in the garden, which was once lovely, but got very overgrown once the PO had bought a new house and abandoned this place. Good job we like DIY and gardening!

Enjoy the wine and take your time making decisions on what needs doing first.....

Thanks Through and Raphaella. The to do list is quite long already but getting longer the closer we look at everything. We always knew this would be a project though. Hopefully our forever home...

Moved 3 days ago. The packing and move was very smooth, but the aftermaths is quite daunting. The space of the new house is slightly bigger than the old one (by abt 10 sq.m) however we struggle to pass around the boxes and nothing fits. Where is that space?
Still on a question mark whether I have done the right thing, but I need to repeat my mantra that I did it for the sake of good secondary schools and I am "allowed" to move on after 4 years.
