do you think the mansion tax is now priced into the market in that it's a known unknown?

Or do you think property is going to fall if Labour gain power at the election, or if Labour form a coalition with a pro-mansion tax king-maker?

I don't think it goes far enough to really make a real difference, I think the only effect will be giving a few asset rich people another reason to grumble at dinner parties.

onetwothreeoops - How can you say that when Labour haven't given any detail as to what those with mansions valued at over £3M will pay?

The uncertainty is choking the market. Especially as SDLT changes mean the market at the top end has been lumbered with a hefty SDLT increase.
