Kitchen island lay out

im having a bank of ovens on the wall,wondering whether to have the hob on the island? pros/cons?

We have an induction hob on the island The extractor fan is flush to the ceiling. The back of the island has an up stand which is about 15cm tall, so no problem with fat splashes.
It's nice to face the room while cooking - sociable.

Ours isn't a breakfast bar
