What's so good about Neff?

So,we are in the market for a whole new kitchen. We need literally everything. And we have found an AMAZING deal on some neff products. ( don't worry its a legit offer ) so before I get totally swept with just the name, are Neff ovens as good as I have heard ?

yes

Germgirl · 22/03/2015 19:50

We have a Neff oven & it's really very good. Heats up quickly & evenly, has about a million settings of which I use precisely one and just generally feels good quality.

123rd · 22/03/2015 19:55

They do look & feel "quality " but I did think out of the 100s of functions how many would I use. I do luff the slide 'n' hide door. Wink

What is the idea of the door is it if the oven door potentially fouls an interior door?
Also are you sharing this deal? Grin

Oldieandgoldie · 22/03/2015 20:10

No! I always wanted Neff, but having had two Neff ovens, I think my Hotpoint ovens were better.

The main reason..when using the fan oven on the Hotpoint, the fan stopped when the door was opened. This doesn't happen on the Neff!

Even on the basic oven function, when you open the oven door you have to stand well clear for a moment or two as the heat 'gushes' out and burns your eyes. Maybe this is a good thing (heat insulation etc) , but personally I hate it, and find it rather dangerous. I wouldn't be keen to buy Neff again.

TheFallenMadonna · 22/03/2015 20:11

My Neff oven is rubbish. Quite old though I think. Came with the house. Perhaps newer ones are better?

TheSingingMonkey · 22/03/2015 20:19

Neff are changing their entire range, so there may be deals to be done on old stock. I love the slide and hide door.

BasinHaircut · 22/03/2015 20:20

OP I've been looking at Neff too, would you share the deal details if possible?

Volvox · 22/03/2015 20:21

Are they based on Bosch? My Neff dishwasher looks identical to my friend's Bosch one. Came with the house btw, so no idea about specs, etc. Also have a Neff oven, which seems to work fine.

itsnothingoriginal · 22/03/2015 20:21

We splashed out on all Neff stuff for our kitchen last year. Very happy with them. The oven has taken a bit of getting used to as there are quite specific instructions for heat/shelves etc but then I had a really, really old rubbish oven before that so may be the way of all modern ovens these days Grin

The dishwasher I particularly love - sooo quiet!

PigletJohn · 22/03/2015 20:59

Neff is a brand owned by BSH, which is the household appliance company jointly owned by Bosch and Siemens, so the quality should be equivalent. The original Mr Neff was a maker of stoves.

NotOnMyWatchOhNo · 22/03/2015 21:01

I have a Neff dishwasher, it's crap.

etStykkeKage · 22/03/2015 21:08

I have a neff oven.
It was here when i moved in. It might be the bottom of their range but i hadnt given it much thiught or admiration tbh

Lelivre · 22/03/2015 21:09

My mother is evangelical about her neff dishwasher.

Ifyourawizardwhydouwearglasses · 22/03/2015 21:14

I have a neff dishwasher, it's utter shite.

Hardly fits anything in and what it does fit it doesn't wash properly. The glasses usually come out dirtier than they go in. It's only 3 months old too.

TalkinPeace · 22/03/2015 21:19

I have Neff Oven, hob, cooker hood : very happy

dishwasher and washing machine are Siemens : very happy

fridge is Liebherr - will switch back to Siemens next time

123rd · 22/03/2015 21:38

As pp said the range is being. changed. A little local stockist wants rid of ex display stuff. There is no way we would be able to afford these units full price and I think we would have to get quite low spec / makes equivalent. So on reflection I think we would be mad not to go for it.
It is 2 single ovens ,combo microwave and a steam oven. ( gawd knows what I would use the steam oven for)

OP posts:
TheSingingMonkey · 22/03/2015 22:37

You'd be daft not to OP!

Chchchchangeabout · 22/03/2015 23:00

Steam ovens are a waste of space and go mouldy. Leave that and take the rest.

FunMitFlags · 23/03/2015 06:32

I've had/have a few Neff appliances. I don't rate the ovens at all (inconsistent heat which affects cake making), don't rate the dishwasher, but do like the combi microwave and warming drawers.

Steam oven a waste of money IMHO.

My main bugbear with Neff is their truly dreadful customer service (think npower on a bad day) when things go wrong.

NotOnMyWatchOhNo · 23/03/2015 08:40

Apologies my crap dishwasher is Smeg not Neff.

PigletJohn · 23/03/2015 22:13

"Apologies my crap dishwasher is

TalkinPeace · 24/03/2015 17:48

why did I KNOW you would reference that !!

PigletJohn · 24/03/2015 18:41

yum, yum, Kochanski.

Ivegotthree · 25/03/2015 21:27

Our Neff oven is GREAT and I love the Slide and Hide, even though I didn't see the point of it and only got it as I liked the rest of the oven's features.
