sealing on washing machine has come unsealed

There is a bit of wire on a spring which keeps the rubber seal on my washing machine in place at the front. It has come out of its cranny during a wash. The rest of the seal in good condition.

I feel I ought to be able to put it back but after a couple of hours struggling with the spring it seems that I do not have the knack, so I will need to get someone in to help. I don't want to get ripped off by someone who tells me I need him to replace the seal. The wire is mainly wire with a 5 cm spring, but the spring doesn't come unhooked.

Do I need a new seal or just a person who is more adept?

The machine is a Zanussi front loader.

Have you checked to see if there is a YouTube video?

Pixie, I did. All the you tube videos are of replacing the entire seal. they also favour Bosch where the wire is a spring all the way around. But thank you for checking!
