Corner hob - anyone got one? Also how close can it be to a sink?

I am now looking at a U shape kitchen instead of a galley and it would mean putting the hob in a corner just wondering how you find this.

I have two windows and 3 doors in this kitchen and it's limiting where I can put the hob and extraction.

Also how near can the sink be would you know? ThanksSmile

I have a hob (glass ceramic) in a corner but not at an angle. My kitchen is an L shape. Similarly limited with windows and doors. You just have to be careful with the joints for any worktops, and making sure you have enough space for pan handles etc. We don't have an extractor because it's next to a window and it's electric but something you might want to consider.

Ours is quite a way from our sink so can't help with that I'm afraid!

Thanks. Yes I wouldn't have it on an angle but good point about handles. How do you find the lack of extraction fan? I dislike lingering cooking smells, is the window good enough?

To be honest, I don't cook too many "smelly" things on the hob, and I usually have the window open whenever I cook. Smells not a problem.

Ok thanks Mandy. I think you have given me good advice before actually! Thanks Smile
