Stockport Mums - what is this area like?

Hi all,

Hubby and I are looking to buy (FTBs!!) and have seen this house come up which we LOVE the look of but we are not sure what the area is like.

I've lived in a SK2 postcode (along with sk5 and now sk3) much preferred living in davenport to any of the others. Nice and quiet but with good local amenities and a lovely Chinese takeaway

Mile End is ok, but not the nicest part of stockport, it is just off the A6 so traffic can be a nightmare and it is very busy and dangerous road to cross if you have young dcs. Woodsmoor on the opposite side of the A6 is probably better. positive, great public transport links by train and bus to Manchester and out into the peak district, lovely house and good price for Stockport.
