Miele Cat & Dog. I've just replaced my 8/9 year old, used and abused daily one with another.

LMGTFY · 17/03/2015 22:18

Replaced Henry with dyson dc25 animal, it's brilliant. Henry is fab but a pain to manoeuvre.

RandomMess · 17/03/2015 22:30

Miele all the way or sebo. Buy quickly as I believe new eu regulations are going to reduce the maximum KW used even further!!!

I had 3 builders marvelling my miele a few weeks ago...

toldmywrath · 17/03/2015 22:36

Another big thumbs up for the Meile cat ?? and dog.

DramaAlpaca · 17/03/2015 22:38

Another vote for Miele Cat & Dog (even if you don't have a cat or dog).

Onemilliongal · 17/03/2015 22:58

It's Miele then, thanks every one

re the power reduction - my new Miele (either 1600w or 1400w, forget which) sucks harder than my old one (either 1800w or 2000w, forget which)

so don't worry about that power reduction - it doesn't affect the suck Grin

Dannie22b · 17/03/2015 23:02

I got my Miele 8 weeks ago after my dyson wasn't man enough for this house. I love my cat and dog Miele it sucks up everything!

AnnieMoor · 17/03/2015 23:02

Miele. They are the best.

PatterofaMinion · 19/03/2015 06:46

I have a Henry and like it. You could buy a new filter if that's the issue? I've started using bags in mine too to reduce clogging.

I have a Miele from about 6 years ago and actually hate it. The floor head angle is all wrong so you can't push it along, you have to lift and repeatedly pull it towards you or it judders and lifts up.

I might try and get a better replacement floorhead for it before I jack it in as it is otherwise pretty good.

Does anyone else have this issue?

originalusernamefail · 19/03/2015 06:49

I'm toying with ordering the Gtech AiRam K9 package when I geT
paid. Online reviews look promising and I like the thought of cordless. Any MNers have one?

loraflora · 19/03/2015 12:04

My dad has a Gtech. It's good but noisy, in case that bothers you and I can't see it being good on stairs. (Dad lives in bungalow so no issues for him). I got a lower wattage Henry and like it. Much better than the cordless dyson I was using which is always clogging.

Marmitelover55 · 19/03/2015 17:42

Also have Miele cat and dog. Best one we've had so far.

TheSingingMonkey · 19/03/2015 19:19

Another Miele vote here.

Miele!!

dynevoran · 20/03/2015 13:22

Miele cat and dog here too. A dog who sheds constantly and its great.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 20/03/2015 13:24

Another Miele here too, had a Henry and hated it, the Dyson wasn't too bad but the Miele is fantastic at getting every floor surface clean.

FurbysMakeSexNoises · 23/03/2015 12:24

Another Sebo- amazing but not light. Thinking about a lightweight one for upstairs but that would be a luxury really.

MillyMollyMama · 23/03/2015 18:10

We have a Miele and a Sebo - both great. The Sebo is fairly heavy but very well built. Try and get a high wattage one if you can find one.

Geneticsbunny · 23/03/2015 18:13

Sebo are amazing. Really good suction and extremely easy to repair if anything ever does break, which virtually never happens.
