Replacement conservatory windows

Hi

We have a lean two conservatory in a house we are renovating. We have had the roof replaced as part of a whole new roof but the windows and frame look like they have been leaking - probably should have changed the "walls" before - any idea whether we can replace the windows and frames, will it cost thousands and anyone have any firms they would recommend in yorkshire? Cheers

Now listen up. Putting new windows in isn't rocket science. You go and buy what you want. Look at how the old ones are fixed in and start taking the old ones out. Of course your OH will have to have another pair of strong hands.
I get so angry at the prices people are charged for these jobs when, with a bit of common sense and muscle you can do it yourself and save thousands.
And, there's probably a clip on YouTube.

Replacing the glass would not be too big a problem but with the frames it is more difficult. They are generally factory built and consist of large shell with multiple windows and support the roof. Maybe try a heavy duty upvc cleaner as if the frames can be cleaned the cost will be heavily reduced.

It's the frames that need to go (and some of the double glazing has blown but that no big hassle). They look cheap, leak and the windows don't open anymore which is a real pain!
