How to put a mirror on a tiled wall?

HoolyHooly · 11/03/2015 21:05

Just moved into a new house and I have only just realised that the bathrooms have no mirrors, but the walls are all tiled. I want to have a large plain mirror in each but wondering how I can go about doing that myself, or do I need an expert? Thanks

line up the clips screws with the grout
or use sticky pads

If you're drilling through the tiles then put and X of masking tape over the area and drill very very slowly to stop tiles cracking.

You can get special drill bits for tiles. Less than £5 for two at b&q. And the masking tape cross thing. We did it in our kitchen to put up a magnetic knife rack and we are not diy-ers.

Sellotape works just the same as masking tape if you don't have masking tape.

I've got the IKEA mirrors on my tiles, it's a sort of sticky adhesive on the back.

We used silicone sealant (like you use around the bath) to 'stick' our bathroom mirror to the wall, it worked really well and is still up (2 years later)!

It can be risky with tiles. I've used a good quality adhesive.

Or sticky pads.
