Stop Gap?? Advice on draught proofing and finishing my floor!!!!

So I ripped up my floor in my kitchen this week and found that my base floor is pine floor boards and they are in pretty good nick.

Im planning on sanding the floor and finishing it with a light grey wash and possibly a high gloss sealer (products still to be picked so advice welcome)

The planks are locked together tongue and groove style but the gaps are deep and some are 5mm+ so im looking to fill them a bit with something to stop the draught. iv seen a few stop gap looks the best idea so far. Has anyone used it? if so im wondering
should I put it down before I seal it to seal it into place?
would it hoover out?

Have you used something similar that has worked well??

I know the flooring under my living room carpet is the same so if all goes to plan with the kitchen I plan to do my living room the same!

We've used it, on similarly large gaps in our sitting room, but our gaps were between separate boards, not grooves in tongue and groove, if I understand you correctly. StopGap sits on the joists, below floor level, so you need good deep gaps. It's super-easy to put in, and doesn't hoover out (maybe I don't hoover enough), but over the years (getting on for ten now) bits do come out and need to be poked in again/disappear without trace into the void. Also, it doesn't fit snugly if the edges of the boards are encrusted with grime/old varnish. Don't know about sealing. Worth a go, I'd say, as it's so cheap and easy.

T&G is not supposed to have draughty gaps and should not need filler.

You need to have someone look at the floor. It doesn't make sense that you have a draft or gaps.

I think you have a different type of flooring. I personally wouldn't have exposed pine as its so soft but if you are you need to have it looked at if its tongue and groove with gaps.

Can you take a picture for us? Sounds a bit odd! If it is t and g with gaps, I'd be tempted to use a solid flexible filler rather than stop gap as I think it would work up in gaps that small.
