Silicone around shower tray - help I've messed it up!

So fairly new bathroom, seal around base of shower tray wasn't done well, so took it off this morning, and thought I would try and do it myself. Made total mess of it! Guessing I will now need it to go off, remove and try again. Any tips? If just seemed to go everywhere.

Frog tape. Genius stuff. Tape out clean lines on the tray and tiles, apply silicon, smoothe. Leave five minutes so it hardens a bit but not too much and carefully remove tape. Perfect finish.
