Bathroom Choices that stay looking clean

Hi,

We are about to redo our bathroom. I'm trying to decide what we want to do.

I am thinking we will use storm wall or other acrylic panels around the bath/shower instead of tiles. The rest of the walls will be painted.

Our current bathroom has white tiles and a black tiled floor (chosen by previous owners)and they are a nightmare! The floor always looks dusty and the tiles show every hair or bit of dust.

I wondered what mumsnetters could recommend we go for that will need minimal cleaning?

Mid toned vinyl floor is easy to keep looking clean, perhaps one with a pattern such as mosaic or marbled.
And avoid white grout anywhere....

I don't plan on having any tiles so no grout to worry about!

We've recently done out our bathroom and gone for different shades of grey tiles with silver strips on the edges. The floor are slightly darker than the walls.

I did exactly this last year. I hate tiles so I have grey stormwall in the shower and really nice grey vinyl on the floors. It's so easy to keep clean, I love my bathroom!
