Little & greene French grey - is it too dull?

We want something cosy and warm, but also a bit trendy & sophisticated (if that doesn't sound too naff).

I Was thinking of French grey dark in the living room and French grey in the kitchen extension (west facing).

Kitchen is white painted shaker with black granite work tops with flecks of copper.
Floor is rustic oak.
There will be a cast iron fireplace with red tiles.
Curtains will be hessian type colour with big red flower print (if I ever find the time to make them).

What do you think?

I think it will look lovely Smile

I have a tester of LG French Gray on my fridge right now - thinking of doing my kitchen in it.

Actually brown (ish) curtains withgrey. Not sure.

I have done my kitchen in this grey.

I have a white kitchen, slate floor and that shade of grey is in my mosaic tiles, so works well.

Well, I might be biased as we have used French Grey (kitchen), FG Mid (dining room) and FG pale (sitting-room and hall) but it's quite warm and the hue seems to change quite dramatically depending on the light.

What would you think is the trendy and sophisticated counterpoint to accent with these greys? It looks like bright strong yellow is coming up as the next thing...

We have fg mid in our living room and dining room and I love it. The living room is South facing and and the dining room North facing. We have walnut floors, and I've not decided on the curtains,
it's a beautiful colour

Thank you - I've bought a huge tin so now there's no going back,

Also, madamg, we put a pale gold curtain with the FG for the dining room initially and it looked really well.
