Facias and soffits

We need new fascia boards, soffits (not sure what these actually are) and guttering etc.

What do I need to know? How much would you expect it to cost for a four bedroom (largish) detached house?

Lastly, would you opt for a reputable window company or a small business?

We had the fascias and guttering replaced on our 1920s semi last year, it cost about £1200 + VAT but that was in conjunction with having the roof replaced (sigh). Sounds like your house is quite a bit bigger so would no doubt be a bit more expensive.

Not sure this is something that window companies do, it's more the province of roofers.
