Dh is grouting our newly tiled bathroom as a type. I went up for a nosey he's half way through room but the grout is greyish rather than pearly white like I imagined.

Does anyone know why this has happened?

it's still wet.

Or perhaps he has found out that white grout always looks grubby, and has wisely bought grey.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm hoping that it dries whiter. Our last bathroom had white tiles and lovely white grout.

If it stays that way dh says
He'll just re do it. Seems like a lot of work.

We bought cream grout for our bathroom it went on grey and dried grey. I had a battle with the shop we bought the grout from and involved trading standards but they replaced all our tiles in the end. We had to pull the tiles off and re grout with a different type (ready mixed so we could see the colour as opposed to the mix yourself kind) which definitely was cream. Not saying this to worry you cos grout is darker when it's wet so hopefully it will dry lighter. Smile

It has dried whiter thankfully. Not brilliant white as it should be though. If it doesn't look good dh says it's fairly easy to re-grout or go over with grout pen... But I think he's just saying that to keep me quiet for now !!
