Websites/Magazine ideas please

We will be looking to purchase a property in the next few months and are planning on getting something that will need a complete makeover. I have been looking at magazines for decoration inspiration but they seem very show homey and beige. I'm looking for quirky ideas with lots of colours and maybe ideas to refurbish second hand furniture.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please. TIA

I like apartmenttherapy

I have Period Living and Traditional Homes as I have always lived in Victorian and Edwardian homes. Country living is another lovely one. Both show homes which are often interesting and eclectic rather than Show Home.
