struggling to decide between polished or satin chrome door handles to go on door shown.
we are having all white walls in one room and grey in another, kitchen will also be grey (white walls) and bifolds anthracite aluminium if that helps.
so satin or polished?
Thanks

Nice doors! - we had them in last old house and loads of folk commented on them which surprised me, as I don't think I've ever gone to anyones house and noticed their doors!

personally I prefer satin handles - We got ours from Aldi like these when the had them on offer - at the time they were about £6 a go, they are about £8 now, but still a bargain compared to diy stores

Satin would be my preferred option, chrome shows up every bit of grease and dirt!

I love shiny but polished light switches didn't work for me, I just couldn't over come the urge to remove fingerprints twice a day.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, also think satin looks more modern

Lovely doors! I normally prefer satin and it is more practical, but unhelpfully I think that particular style of door handle suits the chrome better.

I have the round one in Satin and absolutely love it. I don't have to keep cleaning them like the old chrome ones I had.

polished every time

Zinxie · 21/02/2015 21:44

Go for shiny. It bounces the light around and avoids looking office-y.

if you prefer a brushed finish, look at stainless handles rather than chrome.
