I might send for the info pack!

Seriouslyffs · 17/02/2015 23:14

Oh, it's gorgeous. But either the photographer didn't know what he was doing or knew too well and it's been majorly mucked about with. I'd have liked to see some better, less 'featurey' pictures. Is pic 15 a dressing room?

Trumpton · 17/02/2015 23:14

Oh my days ! That is wonderful. Thank you.

Branleuse · 17/02/2015 23:17

very cool

jonicomelately · 17/02/2015 23:19

Gorgeous.

MintChocAddict · 17/02/2015 23:20

Isn't it fab! I wonder who will buy it? Hopefully they'll maintain it to that standard.
I think picture 15 is a dining room seriously. Do you mean pic 19? I'm not sure what it is as pic's a bit restrictive.

I can't open the link, but is it Windyhills in Kilmalcolm? If so, it's been on the market for ages (in fact, I may have started a thread on it months ago). It's an amazing house

valsoldknickers · 17/02/2015 23:25

It is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the fix of property porn!

Off to have a cup of tea from one of my MacIntosh china beakers and fantasise about the windows and glass....

tribpot · 17/02/2015 23:26

It is. Some of it looks a tad overdone, like 'This is Rennie Macintosh this is, in case you didn't recognise the flower motif over and over again'. But a lot of it is beautiful. I wonder who wants to live in a house that's been restored to 'near museum quality', though. You're hardly (one hopes) going to think 'I'll just rip a few of these fixtures out and stick something else in'.

MintChocAddict · 17/02/2015 23:27

It is Windyhills Agent I'd never heard of it before but it's fabulous. Hope it gets a new owner soon. not me I'm skint Wink

Gorgeous. I think the shower room (wall to wall in what looks like quartz/marble) isn't a good look (nor is the awful cushion on the sofa in the living room ). But, whatever...it's a beautiful building.

Devora · 18/02/2015 00:01

It is beautiful. Bit CRM-to-the-max for me - can't see it as a family home - and the bathroom is hideous. But wow, what an amazing place.

Sinkingfeeling · 18/02/2015 00:40

Stunning - apart from the bathroom. Grin I think pic 19 is the butler's pantry?

OnePlanOnHouzz · 18/02/2015 07:58

We have a house in the same village ! its a beautiful area - just half an hour outside Glasgow ! Great local shops and takeaways and wine merchant ! and even a little gym in the sports ground ! Surrounded by fields its great for walking the dog /riding horses etc etc ! It's a winter wonderland in the snow !! Hope someone wins lotto and buys that house who appreciates it !!!

Apatite1 · 18/02/2015 10:00

It's a bit too much marble, but I like marble so I could live with it!

waitingowaiting · 18/02/2015 10:02

I want it.

RaphaellaTheSpanishWaterDog · 18/02/2015 20:38

I've seen it previously and love it! I'd happily live in it, museum state and all - we collect Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts and most visitors think our house looks like a museum anyway......

Not a fan of that cushion either, but think I could live with the bathroom. Might want to change the kitchen though.
