Coulsdon are to live in?

Hi, we are a couple who migrated to UK (London) 3 years back and now looking to buy our first house. We have been exploring the areas in Surrey and found Coulsdon as one of the peaceful and nice ones. We both work at central London hence the commute to London bridge and London Victoria is important to us. I need some suggestions to consider while making such a big purchase.
