Metro Tiles

I'm putting metro tiles in my kitchen. 3 tiles in depth around units and then larger area behind cooker. I was planning on a brick pattern however my tiler has suggested staggering the tiles so that each tile is not lined up with another. I've laid the tiles out on the floor and it has a softer look but it's not what my original plan was. I rather like the public loo look. Has anyone else done this and does it still have a utilitarian look about it?

I don't think there's a right or wrong. Mine are off set (behind hob) and I like them.

I went with brick pattern in our old house - I like the Parisian Metro station look, it's why I bought the tiles in the first place.

Do you have a picture East?

Yes Norm that's why I have a dilemma. I bought them for that look too.

Really sorry but I don't. I've been googling frantically but can't seem to find any similar.

Thanks for looking. I can't find anything either.

Here's a guide to positioning metro tiles: ramblingsfromtheburbs.com/2014/03/ho-to-install-large-format-tile/
