Does it need to be to curl up with a book .......

Top floor of our disaster build is getting there so this is a good question.

Well, I don't know what the experts would say, but having just removed my posterior from mine I can safely say that 22" (56cm) is a good depth!

Our new house is Victorian, but the window seat - in what we are using as a snug, but what was formerly the master bedroom - is in a later, Arts & Crafts style 1920s extension. It is built into a bay window, hence the good depth I guess.

We had five in our last house, but these were all rather shallow (14-16"?) and not curling up with a book material imho!

Great. Thanks!
Thought 50 looked a little small (for me!) so will go for wider.

You're very welcome Juggling! Enjoy curling up with a book and lots of wine when it's finished :@)
