Silly question ( I think ) about jobs

Can you put a hob under a window? I wouldn't think it was the best place but...we are planning a new kitchen and just thinking about every possibility. ( & I saw some on Pintrest!!)

there was a recent thread about hobs under windows, electric seemed to be ok'd but obv not gas

I wouldn't because of the risk of someone reaching over the hob when it's hot to open the window. Also if something caught fire, you are potentially blocking an escape route.
