Cheapish but stylish tiles for bathroom?

I need to do a bathroom refit on a tight budget and am looking for wall tiles which aren't too small, so will be cheaper to fit.
I like metro tiles in brick pattern but the fitter told me to find larger tiles to keep costs down.
I'd like a fairly classic look, not too modern, its an old house and the walls are all a bit wonky so ultra modern doesn't work (am not keen on stone effect).
Any suggestions/links?

I got my tiles from Wickes - they were lovely and really cheap. They were quite small, but they were so cheap (and it was quite a small area) that it didn't' matter.

Large matte white tiles in a brick pattern, horizontal or vertically placed.

Metro tiles aren't expensive I paid £10 per square meter.

How many sq meters do you need covering?

Its the fitting cost I am trying to trim really, I know the metro tiles can be quite cheap, though £10 a sw metre is a good price! Where did you find those Quite?

I have around 14 sq metres to cover, so the labour involved means it will cost less to fit larger tiles/ Metro tiles laid stretcher bond like bricks requires quite a bit of cutting and so lots of off-cuts too.
Will look in Wickes.
Have seen matt white tiles some on Tonsoftiles so will order a sample. They do look quite modern though...

These are the ones I have seen. Good price but not as nice as metro tiles....

I would recommend wallsandfloors.co.uk - have a look in the budget section. Lots of large tiles at £10-15sqm
