Unopened tin of worktop oil - shall I use?

it's past its use by date (24 months) by a couple of years. Do you think it would be ok to use still? Never been opened

old oil stiffens with exposure to the air. Danish oil, and other thin oils, are diluted with white spirit which evaporates.

If it has not done hard, separated, or changed colour, and is still runny, I'd use it. I still have a bottle of linseed oil that I inherited from my old dad.
