Finishing wooden internal doors tips?

I'm just about to buy wooden internal doors, I'd quite like to keep the wooden look, so how do I finish them? It it oil people use? Any tips? Never done this before.

Thanks.

Satin varnish

If not treated they will get grubby with hand marks which you will not get off without sanding.

If you want to colour them, use Colron before the varnish. You get a more even colour that way, easier to touch up, than if you use a tinted varnish or woodstain.

Thanks PJ, what sort of look does that give? Will it be shiney?

No.

That's great, I had visions of varnish being that old fashioned thick gloopy stuff when I'm after a natural look. Thanks PJ.

You can roller it on for a smooth, brushstroke free finish.
