Anyone got narrow Pax wardrobes with pull-out clothes hanging rails?

I am looking at Ikea Pax wardrobes for a room where space is limited and the deeper (60cm) ones are a bit too big.

The 35cm ones would fit much better - but I need some wardrobe hanging space, and I'm unsure about the pull-out clothes rails for hanging clothes forward-facing. Does anyone have them, and do they work well in practice?

And while I'm at it, are the drawers in the smaller depth usable for adult clothes, or pointlessly small?

We had the pull out rack but only used it for coats. It didn't hold a lot a lot but it seemed to work ok.

As for the drawers, we didn't have them but I would say pointlessly small.

We had shoe platform thingies and they didn't hold more than two pairs of shoes. By the time you put in the runners and had accounted for the space the drawers take up, you'd be left with very little space.

Pull out rails were pointless, but I used the pull out baskets in narrow ones for shoes and they worked really well. My daughter has our old narrow pax now and they work well for a five year old...

We used one as a coat cupboard in the hall. It worked well but don't know how it would work if you had a lot of clothes. I suspect it would be a pain. It is difficult to really see what you have unless you can easily stand to the side of the pull-out rail.

I like the pull out rails (the top hung type). I have my cardigans on one. They hold quite a lot.

Thanks all for the helpful replies. I have very little need of hanging space, it's mostly for DH's work shirts. So to some extent this wouldn't be my problem!

But if it's all a bit of a compromise and nothing works that well (drawers or hanging space) then we may need to think again. We might be able to put a single deep one in a corner, to give us the hanging space we need, and then just normal chests of drawers to hold everything else. Or possibly shallower Pax, but would that look odd if they weren't all the same depth?
