Hello and hoping to get some advice from you lovely peeps !
just deciding on what bits go where for my new kitchen and thinking about an integrated cooker hood extractor FAN (one that fits nicely into an overhead cupboard) rather than a large EXTRACTOR HOOD.

Anyone recommend any make please ? and not too expensive ?
thanks ! Smile

Elica seem quite good.

There is a tremendous variation in prices

It is vital that you have it vented to blow the steam and fumes outside the wall. A recirculating hood makes an attractive kitchen ornament but serves no other purpose.

I agree - recirculating ones are pants and I miss the vented one from our old house. If you need a length of ducting to reach the external wall, make sure it's rigid ducting.

Just got this siemens one - seems good, it's quiet, discreet and powerful.

Ours is Belling and works great, it has a cupboard front on like the amazon one. you pull it out and it does suck all the cooking smells and steam up. Trouble with it, no one connected it to the outside (it was already in our kitchen when we bought the house), Dh has to add the pipe to the outside so I can go back to using it.

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far, appreciated !
Yes the 'fans' which just re-circulate air are hopeless. I've had years and years of no fan and therefore condensation in my home, do rather tend to cook up a right steam when in the kitchen Grin so looking forward to an extractor ...

If you mean the Siemens it was about £200.

I'd say Pick the quietest one in your budget !
