Kitchen being installed in our new extension in approx. 2 weeks.

It is L shape, in an open plan room to the living room.

Engineered oak floor and oak worktops, with handless white gloss units. There is a range cooker which sits in a chimney breast Central to one side of the l.

So we have to decide which splashback to use in both the chimney breast behind the range, and on the walls behind the counters.

So far I'm considering a coloured glass splashback behind the range (in to colour that matches the living area to bring it together) and either white metro tiles behind the counters, or maybe just an oak upstand and painted walls.

The other option is coloured metro tiles in the chimney breast (prob grey).

Any thoughts on this, or other suggestions?

Really interested to see what others would do!
