Urgent kitchen advice please - totally uninspired!

We are nearly at the end of a kitchen refurb and conservatory/extension to it.

We have had this kitchen fitted:

and have ordered a charcoal floor but am completed stumped for a colour for the walls and what tiles to go for. Am concerned that white walls might be a bit too clinical, partcularly as the conservatory bit of the kitchen has a total glass ceiling. Help please!

oh and ours is the 'flat' version if it makes any difference and we have a big copper light to hang over the table which should hopefully add a bit of colour too...

How about cream walls but then really contrasting tiles like a bright yellow?

I like grey and yellow together.

Lime green walls would work, or orange.

What about grey tiles? Could try to match the colour with the cabinets?

Have you asked the kitchen fitter? Try often know what goes with what, or what tile other people with that kitchen are choosing....

The yellow viva suggested looks good too.

We have just had this fitted, it looks sage green in some lights. We have a walnut floor and have painted everywhere white (we had testers but didn't get round to it so stuck with white). Not at all clinical. I wouldn't use yellow as the kitchen is not a true grey, what work top do you have?

Do you like the idea of mirrored splash backs? We have smoky/bronze tinted mirrored splash back in our grey/white kitchen and love it, warm and subtle. Then you could look at warm/almost green beige walls - like F&B stony ground?

X post with superram, I agree yellow won't work with that warm soft grey of the kitchen, you need a stronger contrast between a steely/darker grey and acid yellow.

Thanks all! The yellow would have been a winner if the units were a true grey but as superram says they are more green/cream.

Superram - we have the white work top shown in the images. Would have gone for the grey version but the original kitchen end is quite dark and pokey and didn't want to make it look worse. The white walls do look really nice in the brochure and hopefully when softened with some nice accessories won't look clinical. What tiles did you go for and with what work top?

Kahlua - I did ask both the kitchen supplier and fitter and they were annoyingly non commital ie keep saying its personal choice etc!!

Never thought choosing something like this would be so stressful! Just don't want to make a very expensive mistake..

Parisian White. I don't think it will look clinical at all. A lot depends on your lighting

We had this issue- similar green/gray units. We went for farrow and ball lime white which is a warm cream. I wouldn't have picked it just from the colour card but it looks lovely. We have red accents for a splash of colour. Can't help with tiles as we had none!
