decent tap to replace Grohe (Pigletjohn around by any chance?)

We have Grohe taps in the bathroom and the sink one just started leaking after only 2 years of usage, frustratingly. We had thought that Grohe would be decent quality. I also like the nice smooth water stream the tap generates. Any recommendation what to replace it with? DH is handy so wanted to replace it himself (eeek) but he does not think he would be able to fix the actual tap so a new one needs to be bought pretty quickly.
Cheers!

Thank you. Haven't actually considered the fact that it's under warranty. Must look for the receipt...

Just make sure its as good as new, they state a scratch will validate the guarentee, odd considering taps get handled.
Swiss taps do some nice things also

good idea to try a warranty claim first. If that fails, you will be able to buy and fit a replacement cartridge, I doubt it will cost much more than a new tap.

have you got a combi boiler, or a white cylinder?

Do you find the square, sharp-angled shape attractive and comfortable?

Thanks for your help.
We managed to get it done now. DH did exchange the entire tap in the end. The difference between a new cartridge and a brand new tap was only fifteen pounds and DH figured it may be easier just to exchange the tap. This time we are keeping the receipt for the warranty!
