how much would this cost? help please.

Hi I was wondering how much it would cost to build a flue. We currently have a old brick gas fire place and no chimley. We want to build out side of our house so we don't eat into the lounge area. I want to achieve a log burner with a similar look to picture one, with a thick wood mantel. But we have a flat wall without a chimney so would need to build out like picture 3. How much would this cost? Sorry for rambling, I hope I make sense :)

I don't think that you would necessarily need to build a chimney on the outside of your house - wood burning stoves can be free standing so there should be a way to route the flue outside without building a chimney.

I'd contact a local HETAS qualified fitter and ask their advice.
