Quarry tiles

I have some quarry tiles on my dining room floor which have just been uncovered. They are very very old and there is lots of the old black glue on them.

What do I do with them? I think they'll be ok when cleaned, how hard a job is it to get the black off and seal them? thanks to anyone that can help!

I use HG cleaner for my hall tiles, I think my brother in law used Lithofin or something like that? It can be time consuming, but worth it I reckon

Thanks. A professional tile cleaner came round too, i don't honestly think I'll manage it myself.
