Needs to be strong enough to stand on/sit on with plenty of storage inside.

Bit of a strange request I know, but needs must Smile

get a plastic one, not metal. It will make fewer holes in your leg.

If full of tools, it will be heavy. Consider two lighter ones, e.g. a plumbing one, a decorating one, a car one, a woodworking one. Have several sets of screwdrivers in useful places.

You can also get ones with wheels, which can be OK if you live in a place with no stairs or doorsteps.

boxes in the lid for small items like plasplugs are handy. So are lift-out trays. You can use a cleaner's tote tray for things you use frequently. Don't keep your screws and nails in the toolbox. keep them in divided plastic storage boxes in a stack. You will never need all fifty boxes of different sizes for any one job.

Some have the capacity to lock with a small padlock. It is not burglar-proof but will slow down small people trying to cut their fingers off.

try this

or these

I don't think any of them are warranted safe to stand on.
