Where to live - Kent

So we are moving from London to Kent - eek. DH works in Sevenoaks, schools sorted in Cranbrook area - secondary so will make own way to and from school. I work in London. Budget for property is £400,000 and need 3 bedrooms. Happy to be in small village to market town.

Any recommendations?

Goudhurst? DH can go up A21 to sevenoaks. You can get a train from Marden, Paddock Wood, Staplehurst, Tonbridge.

Have driven through Goudhurst - looks lovely. Do you know if it has any 'life'?
