Most expensive yet I've seen described as a first time buy Grin

Anyone seen any more expensive than that?

And it's just a glorified bedsit.

Pipbin · 05/11/2014 17:36

I love the champagne with two glasses on the side in the kitchen.

OwlCapone · 05/11/2014 17:41

How is is a "glorified bedsit" when it has a bedroom?

Eastwickwitch · 05/11/2014 17:49

Our 'first time buy' was round the corner from there. Only slightly bigger, was £85K in 1990. Wish we'd hung on to it.

Pipbin · 05/11/2014 17:51

I say that Owl because it only has one small living space. Yes it has a separate bedroom, but it's not much bigger than a bedsit.

OwlCapone · 05/11/2014 18:13

You must have seen swanky bedsits then.

Pipbin · 05/11/2014 18:16

No, but I know a pokey flat when I see one.

Got99problems · 05/11/2014 18:29

Wow the living room is taller than it is wide - that's a really small room (or an incredibly high ceiling!)
So glad I don't need to live in London.

LaurieFairyCake · 05/11/2014 18:57

I don't think its that small, the living room is 20 foot long.

I'm looking at much smaller flats than that - that ones too expensive for me

Definitely not a glorified bedsit, but why would you spend all that money on a one bedder [whispers] in Earl's Court Confused

twodaysonly · 05/11/2014 21:13

That's just London prices these days, sadly. Lots of Londoners only buy in their 30s/40s so have bigger deposits and salaries. We had to pay more for our first flat here 2 years ago, though it was a 2 bed and much bigger.

This one in Holborn is described as 'a great rental investment or first time purchase' at £649,950

I 'm not wearing my glasses. What is that white box on the living room wall? The one that looks like hand dryer in public tolet.

whataboutbob · 07/11/2014 22:18

I note they don t say how long the lease is. It could be short.
