removing a weird 70s fireplace

Has anyone removed a stone clad effect fireplace that runs the length of a room, like this?

Just wondered (very roughly) how much it cost to remove, fit a tasteful/minimalist replacement fire and make good the wall. We would want to lay wooden flooring anyway, so won't factor the cost of that in. Just want a very rough guide so we can adjust our offer accordingly.

Watching with interest. My parents have one and might want to remove theirs, if they can afford.

Has an almost identical little niche place to 'sit'. How convenient!

I have removed one myself
It was very easy and the wallpaper was intact behind the fireplace!
