Which flooring with underfloor heating?

We're installing underfloor heating in our new kitchen/diner/living room. It is a big L shape and I want the space to flow so it all feels joined up? What flooring would you go for? I don't really want ceramic tiles in the living room and DH is worried the UFH will knacker engineered wood. TIA.

No advice but watching! We've got ufh in our home, dry/electric, and will be getting new flooring the the bedroom!

We were told that natural stone was the best for UFH so have opted for porcelain.

Have you thought about bamboo flooring? It's cheaper than wood and environmentally better. And certain types are made to go over underfloor heating.

We're laying bamboo over underfloor next week.

We have open plan kitchen-living-dining room with engineered wood over UHF. Its great. I also didn't want tiles in living area and didn't want a change of flooring as it's all one room and I didn't want to break up the flow. We were recommended engineered wood and have no regrets. Speak to some suppliers and they will explain it to you.

How is bamboo more environmentally friendly when you are depriving pandas of their natural habitat?

We've gone for Amtico - hope it works ok...!

Bamboo is harvested in three years, rather than cutting down a 100 year old oak tree, which doing so still kills everything living in it.

We were advised not to use karndean or amtico if we are not having radiators as you can not heat them high enough.
Our dog sloshes water everywhere would that be a problem on wood with it swelling etc?
