Woodwork colour with a feature wall?

Hi, I've finally decided on a feature wall of Urban Obsession in the living room and Nutmeg white walls (I think). It's quite a dark 'white' and I assumed that the woodwork would be in the gloss of the same colour so it didn't look too crazy with the feature wall. I was worried that white gloss, with two other wall colours would look weird. My decorator thinks the opposite. I've tried googling images, but can't really see what they've done. Is there an accepted practice? Thanks in advance.

I think white will look best - it will lift things a bit. Otherwise the room could look quite drab imo.
