We've just moved into a new house and ripped out some dodgy fitted furniture to reveal a fully exposed (rafters and back of plasterboard) stairwell bulk head.
Not a problem per se but clearly needs boxing in. My plan is to ask a joiner to plasterboard it then build a cupboard to cover this with shelves above.
My question is, the room also needs nasty laminate flooring ripping up and underlay/carpet laying.
Which order to do things? Cupboard and joinery first then rip up laminate sand and decorate skirting (there has been beading against skirting) then carpet last?
Sorry if this seems really obvious!
