Shutters

Hi All
Just bought a house in York and interested in getting Shutters fitted to 3 large windows. Just got extortionate quote from Sandersons. Wondered if anyone know any good local companies in Yorkshire? Alternatively if anyone had any experience of buying the B&Q blinds and getting them fitted? If so if anyone could recommend a good shutter fitter?
Thanks!

I saw them advertised in the Next catalogue, can't say I have any more info though. I think they are lovely though.

I have shutters throughout the whole house..fitted 7 years ago and they have been ,and are fantastic. However, very expensive at the time. My daughter used the B and Q option for her flat in Brighton...and was pleased with the quality. As far as I am aware most companies send the measurements off to China where they are made to measure. I think the crux of the matter is very, very, accurate measuring, and maybe getting a local joiner to fit them. Moneywise, B and Q are far more reasonable to purchase and in my opinion are of the same quality as the 'big boys'. (probably all made in the same factory?)I suggest you do your homework,as there are deals to be done. Good luck, they are worth the effort !!

Thanks - had not even realised that Next did them so that's great. Definitely veering towards the B&Q option - great to hear from someone who can verify the quality - thanks!
