New build again - when can you repaint?

As some may know, we're buying a newbuild. How much time do you let pass before you repainted the internal walls?

All walls are just going to be painted in Magnolia/cream - we have no choice. I'd like to reprint asap, but I was then told to let the house settle first.

I would give it a few months. You'll get cracks in the lining paper around the edges, cracks in the paint while the stairs move and settle and they'll need to be filled in and sanded down a little before you paint. Plus you may want a little while to decide what paint looks good in what room depending on the light available at that time of year.
